drip drop

I took like five photos just to get this darn drop of water in focus… I really need a nice macro lens.

I almost caught a cold getting this photo (Lake Placid has already had its first snow fall)… I almost got ran down by a train too! Our train is very much seasonal and I thought it was closed for the season… WOOPS! I had to jump in a small body of water to get out of it’s way.

Kitty!

So, I got bored (I’m supposed to be doing homework; I’ve started but I can’t finish) and I decided to take photos of my cat… she was jumping on me while I was trying to do my homework, so I took my camera (it’s always next to me) out of it’s bag and took a couple of shots of her. :) picture-14.jpg
She’s trying to scratch my leg here… she was looking up at me all innocent like… so cute! :)

Click here to see more of the photos I took of her! :)

Final Day at Work

In various capacities, I’ve worked for a not-for-profit private behavioral health agency in Upstate New York for the past 2-3/4 years; I’ve been a psychosocial coordinator and a case manager… until yesterday, Friday, October 2, 2009; yesterday was the final day of my notice. I had planned my resignation and gave notice.

On my last day, October 2, 2009, I walk into my office and what do I find?! Balloons! journal_resignation_finalday1.jpg

These are amazing! I’m going to miss my co-workers so much! I even got a wonderful card… it was enough to make me tear up and almost rescind my resignation, but I wanted to get the heck outta dodge and move to a less stressful job.

I start my new job on Monday… I’ll still be working in human services but hopefully it will be a lot less stressful! :)

where have all the photos gone?

A few months ago, I was screwing around with investigating a new piece of software and it literally formatted my 3-backup drives and killed my software collection (which actually accumulated to many thousands of dollars with of paid software) and my entire photograph stock pile… I’ve lost a lot of very memorable and favorite photos that I took over the course of 9-years… so much for redundant backups.

Oh well… time to start anew!

Yup… starting off all over again!

It has been almost 2 years since my domain name was “borrowed” from me by a nasty little advertising company… it’s now back to being mine; I had to sit around and pray they would let it expire once all the original traffic realized their devious plot! But 2-years and it’s mine… this makes me happy.

Thanks goes out to Eric Thern, founder of Zoidial and my gracious host… he never deleted my site… even after 2-years… I didn’t even pay him to keep the site or the service active… what a great guy! Thanks Eric! If you need hosing service that not costly but great on service and features, go through Zoidial Incorporated… great service and even better prices!

Even through Eric kept all my crap safe files safe, I had to delete stuff due to a problem within WordPress… which I’m fine with… there were only 3 posts from my last blog.

Back to cleaning and school work.
